I was contacted about this a few weeks ago and wasn't expecting to appear in it myself as an interviewee- I thought the interest was more in the book. So I'm chuffed!

Thanks for the link - I wouldn't have seen it otherwise and it is a good read.
Two quick points - I thought 'the lost women..' was written by a different Helen. Redd... something. But I sincerely hope it puts the sales up once people find it. I hope to one day finish it (I was my train read when I was commuting to Zeebrugge each week).
And the youtube clip of the Slits. I reckon the drummer had been listening to a lot of Can. Whilst one of punk's aims was to kill off the dinosaurs of prog rock, there is, to my ear, a big chunk of Krautrock in a lot of punk
