my friend just came back from Bute, she's from there originally. She brought me a Broons book and some Hawick balls...result. Gotta love the Broons..
Oh, I love the Broons too, bless their little tartan hearts. They had some fantastic tis of shortbread shaped like tartan sporrans: I was sorely tempted!

Now you'll have to throw a gala dinner party to show off the apron nonchalantly. It would go well with a good sparking white, I think.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the Island.In the bad old days when I was learning that chisels were sharp and nails went pointy end down a more genteel needlework was deemed fitting for young girls.Sue obviously paid more attention in her classes than I did in woodwork as she did indeed make/create the pinny in question,whereas I struggle to make a plank of wood.
