With Sue at the Musicker Cafe, Rothesay.
Sue runs the cafe with her partner John and she gave me this beautiful apron with cowgirls on it, which I think she made herself. It was even wrapped in retro paper!
Her friend Buster had sent me a photo of a similar one a couple of months ago- and now I have my own!
Your pinny is cool...
ReplyDeletemy friend just came back from Bute, she's from there originally. She brought me a Broons book and some Hawick balls...result. Gotta love the Broons..
Oh, I love the Broons too, bless their little tartan hearts. They had some fantastic tis of shortbread shaped like tartan sporrans: I was sorely tempted!
ReplyDeleteLove the apron!!
ReplyDeleteNow you'll have to throw a gala dinner party to show off the apron nonchalantly. It would go well with a good sparking white, I think.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann and Mise! I love it too, and I can't decide if it should be purely for posing, or should be shown off with a foreground of food....
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your trip to the Island. In the bad old days when I was learning that chisels were sharp and nails went pointy end down a more genteel needlework was deemed fitting for young girls.Sue obviously paid more attention in her classes than I did in woodwork as she did indeed make/create the pinny in question, whereas I struggle to make a plank of wood.
